Reply to a Note

This applies to: Managed Dashboards, Managed Reports

All users with the Note privilege can add and reply to notes on a dashboard or on any other view that they have access to.

Reply to a note on a data point

1. Open a visualization that contains the note you want to reply to.

2. Hover over the note to open its popup with note details, then select the menu icon in the bottom right corner. A note menu opens.

3. Select Reply from the available options. The note bar opens below the main toolbar.

4. Enter your reply text, then select Apply. The note is updated to include your reply.

5. Hover over the note to open its note popup and view all notes and replies, from newest to oldest.

Note: You can be notified when someone adds a note to a metric set if you're expecting someone to add one or reply to one of yours. See Symphony Notifications (Alerts).
